Composting ‘Bullshit’: Turning Gloom and Doom into Productive Opportunities
So, being the good granola boy that I am, I was sniffing around the Off-Grid.net for the latest and greatest in grid free goodness (yeah okay, so you can have a fetish for solar panels, kill me). And being a big fan of Wretha, I read her recent…

Pinging is disabled. Thanks, I understand the difficulty of categorizing my life, while it appears to be following the green fads, I was in fact interested in living this lifestyle well before it was the “in” and trendy thing to do.
I suppose I am a bit of an enigma in that respect.
My political views are simple, to Big Bro and anyone one else who thinks they should get to say how I live, especially based on whatever tree hugging, save the whale (or animal/plant is in vogue) activists groups are yelling the loudest:
Leave me alone and I’ll leave you alone. Nuff said.
Thanks for having this forum, it’s nice to have a place that gives us the propaganda from both sides and let’s us make up our own mind.
Wretha

Hi, I am the original author of this post (Wretha), I’m glad it’s getting around, but I do have to say one thing, I’m not a “warming activist”, I’m more on the fence myself, I don’t believe that we puny humans are having that much effect on the earth, not on a global scale. Perhaps a little bit, but not on a global scale. I believe the climate is cyclical, and will do what it is supposed to do. We can’t change it, for better or worse. That is not a free pass to destroy the environment, we can use the resources available without abusing, wasting or stripping everything bare.
Now as to what I am doing, I am living the life I want to live, I have wanted to live off the land before there was such thing as green and climate change. Getting to live 100% off grid is freedom, I’m not doing this to make a political statement, it’s not for the latest green fad. I do this because I want to and it’s fun.
Please don’t lump me in with the green, tree hugging activists.
